This 0.53 acre parcel is adjacent to the Uncompahgre riverfront path and park. With High Density Residential zoning, the Home Trust is developing plans for 13 income-qualified apartments. There is the potential for a community garden on the south end of the property.

The Home Trust was awarded a low-interest loan for $675k from the Department of Local Affairs to purchase the property as well as funding from SMPA for $10,000, CHFA Technical Assistance Grant for $35,025 and a Basin Electric Co-op Grant for $5,000. Ouray County contributed $100,000 towared this project.

The intention is to support the Ouray Community Plan in terms of providing more affordable housing opportunities to promote year-round occupancy which in turn contributes to the vibrancy and sustainability of the city.

The project consists of three two story structures, Buildings A, B, and C (see top image right). Building A & C will be the same building, the only difference being that Building C will be the mirrored image of Building A.

The project will have a total of thirteen (13) living units and include 4 one-bedroom, 7 two-bedroom, and 2 three-bedroom affordable rentals ranging in size from approximately 556 to 1,153 square feet.

All buildings will be constructed to abide by the current adopted planning and building codes of the City of Ouray.
